Flight DUC430 Dao Concert Ukulele

Please call or email info@unionmusic.com if you have questions about this item.

Joining Flight's Supernatural series, this uke makes it even harder to choose between the exotic beauties! And there is a good reason why: its cool greenish shade and unique figured wood patterns are just too hard to resist, like the emerald eyes of an exotic foreign goddess. Will you be able to not succumb to her charm? The wood of many names, Paldao (also known as Paldoa) or Dracontomelum dao, is a heartwood form South East Asia, greyish-brown with a slightly green cast and distinctive dark streaks, ranging from brown to black. Dao produces a lively, warm tone, since it is tonally similar to mahogany. The neck and fingerboard of the Dao ukuleles are made from African okoume and Walnut. It's a great combination that guarantees a stable intonation across the fretboard, is gentle to your hands, and looks great as well. Flight has also updated the fingerboard with fancy abalone fret markers to make this uke really stand out among its sisters in the Supernatural series. The nut may be a small component, but one that determines the pitch of the sound. The nut and saddle of the DUC430 are made from bone (not from plastic). Just one of the details that make this ukulele truly special. This ukulele features a carefully-designed headstock fitted with classy golden tuners that will always stay in tune. Flight has updated the maple headstock inlays for a new, fresh look. Light and stylish, yet offering excellent protection for your ukulele, Flight gigbags have already become legendary and with one hanging off your shoulder you will definitely make heads turn.
